i hate you, 2016. {but not really.}

My annual “Year in Review” will be up sometime in the next few days (delayed Christmas with the extended fam = a delayed New Year’s post), but here are my thoughts on 2016, perfectly put into words by Jordan Taylor.

  1. Nawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww . . . he criticized the character development in Rogue One and now I can’t take him seriously 😉

    I do agree with him that you can’t just take 2016 and make it disappear–because otherwise we would never get to 2017. That’s a very good point. And a lot of great stuff happened to me this year; like graduating college and starting my M.A. 🙂

    BUT Carrie Fisher is still dead and I’m still pretty crushed about that. And Debbie Reynolds is dead too. AND Donald Trump is president. So in many ways, I have to say 2016 kinda blew it.

    • LOL. I’ve gotta watch the video again bc I hadn’t seen Rogue One at the time… Off to do that now. XD

      YES. Very good point. I agree that the year as a whole – like, globally – has been pretty bad, but my personal year has been pretty good. So it evens out.

      Ugh I know. I know. Hearing about those two put a definite damper on my Christmas with my extended family. I’m cautiously optimistic about Trump, though. We’ll see.

      • What did you think of Rogue One? #NotHintingForAReviewAtAll #BecauseWhyWouldIDoThat

        I will miss them both. Very much.

        Eh, I’m pretty pessimistic; but, again, we’ll see. And, ultimately, if nothing bad happens, nobody shall be more pleased than I 🙂

        • LOL. A review is a great idea (although I might have to watch it again for that LOL) I’ll miss them too. HA! I’m generally a very optimistic person, but this year is going to be so different (personally) that I’m cautiously optimistic about everything.

have something to say?
